Midcore ships as a family of four vertical apps — each with its own tier ladder tuned to its craft. This page is the canonical reference for every tier of every app, so you know exactly what you are buying.
Note
The four apps
Each app is a self-contained desktop workstation with its own installer, its own tier catalog, and its own persona. Your account works across all four — start a trial on one and use the same credentials to trial another.

Offline mode — free on every tier
Every app in the family runs offline against local models, with a local Brain and a local Conscience — same UI, same workflows. There is no offline add-on, no separate pricing, no artificial tier gate. If you install any Midcore app, you can use it fully offline at whatever tier you are on.
- Local models — GGUF / MLX / Ollama models run through the local-first router. Cloud is only used when your hardware can’t keep up.
- Local Brain — Personal KB, Project Vault, chat history all live on-device in EKB1-encrypted stores.
- Local Conscience — Policy engine + audit ledger operate offline; the hash-chain verifies without a network round-trip.
Trial mechanics
Each account — not each app — gets one 14-day trial, ever. Starting a trial on Midcore Develop and then installing Midcore Enterprise gives you access to the Enterprise trial on the same window. Picking any paid tier at signup activates the trial and seeds your prepaid balance with $20 CAD.
- One trial per account. The server enforces this with a DB constraint on the trial-grant table. Cancelling a trial doesn’t reset it.
- No card required, no auto-charge. Trials don’t collect payment upfront. When the 14 days end, cloud compute pauses until you subscribe. Local features keep working — offline mode stays free.
- Sales-led Enterprise tiers (the top tier in each of the four ladders) have no self-serve trial. Use the in-app sales-lead form or email enterprise@midcore.dev.
